So while my body continues to be a medical anomaly, Dr. Divine has been wonderful and I'm happy to finally have a joint doctor I can trust. He doesn't just give diagnostics, he's thorough in explaining not only his diagnosjs for you, but also WHY he chose the diagnosis, and detailed treatment for the short and long term. It's good to see someone whose diagnostics you can feel confident in as you walk out their door after an appointment.
One of the best doctors ive been too. He was very patient with me and really cared!!!
He also took initiative to find me alternative pain relief than pills without me even asking. (I didn't even know such options existed.) He saw my history and that I'm already on a few specialty drugs, so chose to order a custom designed medicated ointment to avoid adding more drugs to my list for the sake of my livers future. I saw what pain pills did to my dad - even though my liver is currently fine and I could probably handle more pills, I'm happy I have a successful way to avoid them even just to avoid seeing that potential future in myself. At least for now, anyway. Hopefully I never need them. Lol
I ser Dr. Divine at this office for joint problems. After being passed around for tendonitis without any further testing or care since my teens, I have to say that it's incredibly refreshing to finally have a doctor who actually LOOKS AT ME. It's difficult to find a good a good doctor who actually listens to you, so I'm very appreciative of Dr. Divine.
Dr. Miller has been wonderful but this week hasn't been so hot. My girlfriend has had some serious issues going on had a procedure done on Thursday 11/2 and the results would be in Monday, Monday came and she had been having some complications since the previous week, and tried to speak with someone was told Dr. would call her back and left messages 4 times with no call back, the same on Tuesday as well. Wednesday she called again and was told the results were in but the Dr. was not in and he would be in on Thursday so today no call backs no information we called again and were informed the Dr. was out sick and nothing had been signed off on. I understand they are busy but that long with no call backs and no one can speak to her about a possible serious condition is unacceptable.
Just talking to him, he was quick to recognize that I have the hypermobility joint condition form of EDS - Which he used to comfort me with my fears of having arthritis. "It's virtually impossible to have both." My body, the jerk that it is, was determined to prove that statement wrong as soon as it left his lips. X-rays came back, a pause, and "... And that's Arthritis." Nice of him to try, though. LOL
Lol I guess they dismissed me for not showing up for and appointment. They are the ones told me to go to er where I was then admitted causing me to miss it.
And he was very kind and informative about a cyst in my wrist. He taught me how to care for it and help it heal naturally or at least live comfortably with it as I am a comic artist by trade and very... well, I'm one of those people who simply can't exist without being able to draw. It's not only a chosen career path, but a comfort from stress/anxieties/depression etc. He understood that and completely respected it and is very openly reluctant in even humoring procedures that could potentially risk my abilities for now. The possibilities of needing them exist but he isn't trying to push me toward them unless we reach a point that nothing else is working.
