Lots to choose from on the menu (breakfast) so you can always find something good.
Service was friendly and attentive.
We thought we'd share the Grandma's sampler but the portions were a little small. One slice bacon, small piece of ham and a very small patty of sausage. There were 3 eggs in the scrambled eggs and two medium sized pancakes. We did share but it was a bit tight.
When I visited this Cracker Barrel it was a cold Saturday morning and very busy. I don't know how long the people had to wait for a seat since I was meeting my sister and she already was sitting at a table. It was a very bustling place that morning. There was a roaring fire in the fireplace that was just as picturesque as it could be.
The waitress was professional and delightful even when I told her that I just wanted breakfast and to bring me whatever she thought was good. We both had a wonderful breakfast for $20 plus tip
I love the quality of food and service here. We took my son and both the hostess and waitress came back to the table to ensure that my lively 2 year old was happy. They even showed him where to mail a letter to Santa so that I had a bit of time to eat my eggs before they got cold!
Prices are fair but it seems for the portion size it might be a little high.
I love the grilled chicken. All their sides are fresh and tasty. Shopping the clerance rack is also a special treat! My husband loves the Apple pie with ice cream.
We enjoy the fireplace during the cold months. The home style meals are always good, hot & comforting! The serving sizes are big so come hungry and enjoy the shopping while you wait, which is never that long. If you go on Thanksgiving it's about an hour wait for a table of 4 to 6 but it's well worth it. No clean up, GREAT food, no rushing you, and you can get some heat Christmas presents there, which is a plus! Then home with family and friends to nap and or watch football.
